Technology Unlimited was formed in
early 2005 due to an emerging need for an honest
ethics-based-computer business needed for this area.
After working for a competitor for a few months,
Jacob White confronted some critical business
practices being executed but was shut down. It was
the lack of honest business practices that fueled
the fire for the start-up of Technology Unlimited.
Right out of the box, our core standard of beliefs
was summarized into a motto that was and is the
heart of our business – “Making It Right”
“To be perfectly honest, I had dealt
with so many customers who had taken their computers
to some of these ‘computer repair places’ and were
either told they needed new computers, were cheated out
of money, or even in a few scenarios, were stolen from
by having their hardware components replaced with
less valuable ones and pirated software installed on
their systems. These kinds of situations are what
have really fueled me to continue to work for myself
and help those out there that are in need of help.
People needed an honest solution to a terrible
situation.” – Jacob White
Technology Unlimited was born. The business model
was different than the standard out there. TU had to
raise the bar and raise that standard by offering
warranty on all work, and a guarantee that there
would be no charge if a computer wasn’t fixed. This
sort of business practice was unheard of. Taking a
computer to another place of business usually meant
paying at least $40 whether the computer was
repaired or not.
“We don’t do things according to
protocol. The business is small in size and we don’t
spend a lot on advertising for a reason. Someone has
to pay for all of the expenditures a business makes.
When these businesses are spending thousands on
advertising and buying brand new vehicles, do you
think they are going to be able to provide low-cost
pricing and top-quality service together? The
cliental and consumers will be the ones that have to
pay for all of the bells and whistles of these
businesses. We rely primarily on word of mouth and
we try to make sure our overhead is flat-lined so
we’re able to provide the best service at the lowest
prices possible. We’re taking our customers and
clients to new heights, and for those that’s been
hurt by other companies, we’re making it right.”
